Conair Today

Today Conair maintains and operates a fleet of 49 fixed wing aircraft from their home base at the Abbotsford Airport in southwestern British Columbia.  Just minutes from the US border, Conair occupies more than 100,000 square feet of hangar space.  As a privately owned company we respond to the diverse aircraft needs of fire protection agencies by operating a variety of Air Tanker and Air Attack aircraft types.

Conair has over 40 years of fire control experience in aerial forest firefighting.  We employ 195 skilled people and participate in 6,000 – 10,000 fire control flight hours flown over a 5 month period each year. Today Conair maintains its position as a leader in specialized services including aeronautical engineering design and support services, technology and knowledge transfer related to our firefighting activities.
